Description

This Filter Pump Brass Non-Retentive Valve is designed for use in laboratories to quickly and easily speed up the filtering process from a funnel to a filter flask, or for other tasks. Its compact nickel-plated construction allows for reliable operation, and it can be connected to a rubber hose of at least 200mm in length for a secure seal. The hose sits at the bottom of the sink to prevent water splashing.

Two Important Functions of a Non-Return Valve

  • Prevents water being sucked from the wet pump body into the load
  • Holds the vacuum secure in the load for a short time

A. Hose Fitting: For push-on hose connection to water supply; Constructed of nickel-plated brass for attachment to mains water supply, providing up to -80kPa vacuum for quicker filtration of materials in the laboratory. Side outlet connects to flask containing filtrate; 

B. Tap Fitting: For screw connection using the standard 3/4" BSP screw thread used in 1/2" taps; Designed to connect to the mains water supply, creating a vacuum at -80kPa to improve filtration in the laboratory. The side outlet allows for easy attachment to the flask containing the filtrate, resulting in faster filtration of the material being filtered
