A Inclined Plane with Scale allows for experiments in friction, vectors, and forces but has less accuracy than the Linear Air Track.
The bottom end hinges on the aluminium base which is also a storage container to hold kit parts. It is fully adjustable up to 45deg. The angle scale is on the adjustment bar so that when the unit is folded and locked flat for storage, there is no scale protruding to be broken or bent.
