The Franck Hertz Experiment Set is a self-contained laboratory that includes an electron tube, known as a Thyratron, designed to mimic a full-scale lab for studying the behavior of Xenon gas atoms within its glass envelope when exposed to electron bombardment. It also includes multiple electrodes for facilitating gas molecule excitation.
Power supplies are required for the tube heater and the Anode / Cathode voltage. The system is complete with an inbuilt 9V battery and amplifier so the very small currents can be seen on ordinary bench meters if a sensitive mirror galvanometer is not available.
Two rotary controls provide the following adjustments:
- Volts Adjust
- Filament TEMP
*complete with tube
*with Inbuilt Amplifier
